Tottenham finished the season in fourth place by just two points, and with a return to the UEFA Champions League now confirmed, the club have announced that there will be a hefty transfer budget to spend.
Spurs released a statement on their official website that Tottenham’s majority shareholders, ENIC Sports, will pump an extra £150m into the club, causing mass hysteria on social media and getting supporters hyped up for what is to come this summer.

With Antonio Conte seemingly sticking around despite rumours of a move to PSG, exciting times are coming for Tottenham, and next season could see the north London side make genuine progress as they continue to build their reputation in England and Europe.
And with £150m now to spend in the market, HITC Sport look at what Tottenham’s main and backup XI’s could look like next season, with Champions League football no doubt a factor that will help the club lure some big names in the market.
Tottenham finally land Traore as Bastoni joins the defence

The somewhat incredible thing about Tottenham now having £150m to spend on new transfers is that Conte’s strongest XI could realistically only do with two new signings, with the right-wingback and a third central defender essentially all that’s required for Spurs.
And in our hypothetical XI, Tottenham finally land Adama Traore after almost two years of chasing. With FC Barcelona reportedly not keeping the winger, Spurs have a chance to finally land the powerhouse winger, who is perfect for Conte’s system and for what the club are lacking out on the right.

As for the centre-back signing, with so much to spend, Tottenham can go all out and bring Inter Milan star Alessandro Bastoni to north London, with the Italian international one of the best defenders in Serie A and a player that Conte knows well.
As for the rest of the XI, you pretty much know the score. Captain Hugo Lloris remains in goal in what could be his last great season for Tottenham as Cristian Romero, now a permanent signing, partners Eric Dier and Bastoni in defence.

Ryan Sessegnon retains his place at left-wingback as Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Rodrigo Bentancur marshal the midfield. And in attack, Golden Boot winner Heung-min Son starts alongside Harry Kane and Dejan Kulusevski, another loan signing which has now been made permanent.
Eriksen and Johnstone amongst six new signings backup XI

With Tottenham in the Champions League, quality backup options are needed for the north London side, and in our reserve XI, we have provided them just that with also a little bit of youth experience that gets supporters interested.
The backline alone consists of three new signings, with West Bromwich Albion no. 1 Sam Johnstone taking the role as backup keeper for Tottenham, with Spurs reportedly interested in the England international.

Joining Ben Davies in the defence are two centre-backs who have also been linked with Tottenham in Barcelona outcast Clement Lenglet and South Korean superstar Kim Min-jae, with the pair replacing Davinson Sanchez and Joe Rodon given that reports indicate the duo will leave Spurs this summer.
In the midfield, Sergio Reguilon and Matt Doherty star as wingbacks whilst Oliver Skipp is joined by the return of Christian Eriksen, with the Danish international reportedly on Tottenham’s radar after returning to football with Brentford earlier this season.

To cap off this XI, former Everton star Deulofeu could be the perfect cover for Son given his goalscoring record in Serie A this season, whilst Stade Rennais star Martin Terrier comes in as the long-overdue backup option for Kane, with the French star the perfect player to fill in for the Tottenham talisman.
