Tottenham Hotspur are building up nicely to the new Premier League season as they look imperious in pre-season.

Ange Postecoglou’s side have won three from three matches, scoring ten goals and they will now face a K-League XI on Wednesday.

Lucas Bergvall has been a standout performer for Tottenham in pre-season, with several young guns stealing the limelight.

The 18-year-old joined during the winter transfer from Swedish Allsvenskan side Djurgarden, but only linked up with the squad this summer.

Bergvall has the ability to play in the middle of the park, just like Tottenham’s big money transfer Archie Gray.

The competition for places has now ramped up and it should all benefit Spurs in the long run.

Tottenham’s new boy will be one of the players trying to dethrone his senior teammates from the XI, or hoping to play alongside them when the new Premier League season kicks off next month.

Yves Bissouma is expected to be a starter and Bergvall described the Mali star as an ‘amazing player’, as he told Hayters TV.

That is someone Bergvall can certainly learn from, with the youngster adding that on and off the ball Bissouma is ‘really good’.

“Amazing player,” said Bergvall. “Really good with the ball and off the ball as well, so it really helps to have a player like that.”

Who could Tottenham sign?

Federico Chiesa has been linked with Tottenham, as Postecoglou is still looking to bolster his forward line ahead of the new campaign.

But you feel the club need to also look into bulking their backline.

The defence was the issue last season, not the attack, with Tottenham getting closer to selling Emerson Royal.

If that happens, it leaves Djed Spence as the back-up option to Pedro Porro, if he can continue to shine in pre-season, then there would be no need to bring in a replacement because Spence will feel like a new signing.
