As you may have heard, West Ham and Tottenham made attempts to bring Filip Kostic to the Premier League this summer.
The east Londoners submitted a bid worth £12.5m for the Serbia international, which was rejected by Eintracht Frankfurt, before Spurs also expressed interest in the 29-year-old.
Unfortunately, Antonio Conte and David Moyes will now have to look elsewhere.
What’s the story?
Well, despite interest from West Ham and Tottenham, Kostic has now decided to sign for Juventus.
The Italian giants have agreed to pay Eintracht Frankfurt an initial £10.2m for the Serbian, as well as a further £3.8m in add-ons, taking the deal to a total of £14m according to the BBC.
Kostic was available for a cut-price fee due to the fact his contract was expiring in June 2023, and in truth, Juventus may have just pulled off the signing of the summer given the money involved.
Since August 2018, only Lionel Messi and Thomas Muller have registered more league assists than the Juventus new boy, who has equalled the creativeness of Jadon Sancho and Trent Alexander-Arnold in that time with 44 setups.
Kostic was also named Europa League Player of the Tournament after helping Eintracht Frankfurt win the competition last season, so Massimiliano Allegri has undoubtedly got his hands on a special player.
What West Ham & Tottenham could do before transfer deadline
Despite missing out on Kostic, the east and north Londoners are still active in the market.
In regards to West Ham, the Hammers have supposedly made an approach to sign Memphis Depay from Barcelona, while a £25m bid was also made for Sporting Lisbon maestro Matheus Nunes.

Talks are also ongoing with Paris Saint-Germain over a deal for Thilo Kehrer.
In Tottenham’s case, they are close to signing Udinese left-back Destiny Udogie, who will then rejoin the Italian side on a season-long loan deal.
Keep an eye on both sides, as we expect them to be busy.
