After battling for the Premier League title last season, Manchester City and Arsenal find themselves head-to-head in a transfer race.
The Premier League duo are busy in the transfer window trying to improve their squads to make sure the title race doesn’t go down to the wire again.
But it seems that both clubs have arrived on the same target, with HITC revealing earlier this month that Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea have all shown interest in Dani Olmo.
Reports from Germany suggest that City are pushing hard to sign Olmo this summer.
The 26-year-old is fresh from his time at Euro 2024, where he lifted the trophy with Spain and shared the Golden Boot with Harry Kane and Jamal Musiala.
It is hardly a surprise that there are clubs queuing up to sign Dani Olmo after his performances in Germany and after the tournament he received public praise from teammates including Lamine Yamal.
Olmo is understood to have a release clause that remains active up to July 20th that would allow him to leave RB Leipzig for €60million (£52 million).

Dani Olmo opens up on future amid Man City and Arsenal interest
Olmo has a big decision to make this summer, he has been superb at RB Leipzig but European giants are now queuing up for his signature.
Alongside City and Arsenal, Barcelona and Bayern Munich share an interest in signing Olmo this summer. The midfielder has now revealed exactly what he is looking for in a new club.
As quoted by Goal, Olmo responded to questions about his future by saying “We’ll see. Yesterday we celebrated all day and now I’m at the campus. The people who deal with that (transfer business) already know what I want to do.
“I don’t know if I’ll stay in Germany, we’ll see. I want to be somewhere where I’m valued and loved and what I want to do is win. There are several options, we’ll see what happens.
“The truth is that between the Euros, the celebration and the campus I have seen little of that. What I want is an ambitious project and I want to win titles.”
Manchester City can offer Dani Olmo trophies
If it is titles and ambition that Olmo wants, there is hardly a club across Europe better suited to deliver consistent silverware than Manchester City at the minute.
Pep Guardiola has a magnificent track record of improving players and he is the best-equipped coach to take Olmo up a gear.
Breaking into the City squad is no easy feat but after his performances at Euro 2024 it is hard to imagine him being left out.
