A report from Germany suggests Manchester City are working hard behind the scenes to sign one of Euro 2024’s biggest stars.

Pep Guardiola’s side will target an unprecedented fifth consecutive Premier League title next season.

If Manchester City are to achieve that dream then they will need a new influx of hungry and talented stars to join their squad this summer.

The reigning champions are yet to complete any signings this summer but with Euro 2024 now concluded their transfer business could quickly pick up speed.

And there are few better targets than the players who stood out and shone on Europe’s biggest stage this summer.

As revealed by HITC, Manchester City are admirers of RB Liepzig midfielder Dani Olmo and have spoken to his representatives about a move.

However, with Kevin De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva on their books, he is not seen as a priority.

There is plenty of other interest in Dani Olmo from the Premier League with Arsenal and Chelsea also having spoken about a deal.

Manchester City ‘digging hard’ to sign Dani Olmo

According to German outlet Bild, City are one of three clubs who are “digging hard” to sign him this summer.

The report adds that European giants Barcelona and Bayern Munich have also shown an interest alongside City.

HITC understands that a release clause is active in Olmo’s contract until July 20th worth €60million (£50 million).

The report states that Olmo currently has a “60%” chance of not being in the Bundesliga when the summer transfer window comes to a close.

Manchester City continue their transfer streak

City hardly ever put a foot wrong in the transfer window.

Aside from Kalvin Philipps’ struggles, Guardiola has an incredible record of recruiting stars and coaching them to a new gear.

After topping the scoring charts at Euro 2024 and being one of the best players in the tournament, Olmo would join City at the peak of his powers if a deal is agreed this summer.

City are showing no signs of ending their Premier League dominance and signing Olmo would only strengthen that claim.
