One player Arsenal are keen on adding to their ranks this summer has impressed the new kid on the block, Lamine Yamal.

What a talent. What a player. And what a performer. It’s crazy to think he only turned 17.

Arsenal fans have rightfully praised and lauded Bukayo Saka for his rise in recent years from a fresh-faced teenager under Unai Emery to one now pushing for titles under Mikel Arteta.

But Euro 2024 record-breaker Lamine Yamal has taken things to a whole new level, including helping Spain beat England in the Euro 2024 final.

The game and result went the way many thought it would be. Spain dominated possession, opening the scoring, before England produced a magic moment with Cole Palmer and then Gareth Southgate and his players were knocked out in the end.

In the dying moments of the match, Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice came close to scoring, but he was denied on the line by Dani Olmo.

The RB Leipzig star had an outstanding tournament, scoring three goals and supplying two assists for his team.

It shouldn’t be a surprise that Manchester City and Arsenal are interested in Olmo, with the 26-year-old currently at RB Leipzig.

Yamal wrote in the comments section of Olmo’s Instagram post that he has an ‘aura’ and he was also lauded by several other teammates.

Lamine Yamal praises Dani Olmo

Olmo’s RB teammate Willi Orban stated: ‘What a defender’, with Sergi Roberto adding: ‘Top’.

Centre-back Marc Bartra added: ‘There was the guy’. And Rio Ferdinand told him: ‘What a player and congratulations’

Dani Olmo at Arsenal

If Arsenal want to win the Premier League title, these are the type of signings you make because it is a statement to all.

Yes, Mikel Arteta needs players to boost his bench, but if he can bring in players who can elevate his starting XI, then it’s even better.

Olmo is that guy and he would seriously challenge captain Martin Odegaard for a starting spot.

Manchester City’s levels don’t drop when Pep Guardiola is making changes and Arsenal need the same to happen if they want to get over that trophy line.
