- EXCLUSIVE from Graeme Bailey
HITC understands that Julian Alvarez’s representatives have held talks with Atletico Madrid over a potential summer move.
Julian Alvarez‘s team have told the Spanish giants that they are confident that Manchester City will be open to letting him leave.
As previously revealed by HITC, Premier League side Chelsea have been closely following Alvarez‘s situation at City and are willing to make an offer for him.
HITC understands that Alvarez would consider a move to Atletico Madrid as he is aware that both Barcelona and Real Madrid have other plans this summer.
The Spanish duo are admirers of Alvarez but are busy focusing on transfer business elsewhere.
City have remained firm on their stance on Alvarez this summer – they insist he is not for sale.

Atletico Madrid open to Julian Alvarez swap deal
With both Alvaro Morata and Memphis Depay leaving this summer, Atletico Madrid are on the hunt for a new forward.
Morata and Memphis leaving has helped to reduce their wage bill significantly which has given them breathing space to discuss new signings.
HITC understands that Atletico are open to offering Joao Felix to Manchester City as part of a deal as they look to find a solution for the 24-year-old.
However, there has been nothing to suggest that City are open to taking Felix as they remain adamant that Alvarez is not for sale.
Felix has fallen out of favour in Madrid with only 18 league starts last season and Atletico are now ready to offer the 2019 Golden Boy winner elsewhere.

HITC has been told by sources that Atletico Madrid value Alvarez at around £70million. It is understood that City want a bigger fee if they are to be persuaded to part ways with Alvarez this summer.
The 24-year-old still has four years remaining on his contract at the Etihad Stadium.
