According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Pep Guardiola is a huge fan of Tottenham target Alessandro Bastoni.
What’s the story?
Well, Spurs were desperate to sign the 23-year-old during the summer transfer window, although Inter Milan held firm and managed to fend the north Londoners off.
Fabio Paratici – Director of Football at Tottenham – is even said to view Bastoni as a dream signing for Antonio Conte.
Now, there could be a potential problem for Tottenham in the form of Guardiola and Manchester City.
Gazzetta dello Sport believe the Spaniard is a big admirer of Bastoni, and could attempt to bring him to the Etihad Stadium in 2023.

The Italy international has made eight appearances in all competitions for Inter Milan this season, and is a key player for Simone Inzaghi.
However, an exit from the San Siro in 2023 could definitely be possible if recent events are anything to go by.
Tottenham could have a chance to sign Alessandro Bastoni
It was said that Inter Milan struck a gentleman’s agreement with Bastoni in regards to him staying at the club for the 2022/23 campaign, although some sources claimed that Spurs would go “full pelt” for his signature if he became available.
That seems to be true.
Bastoni reacted angrily after being substituted in Sunday’s 3-1 defeat to Udinese, which alerted Paratici.
The centre-back will only have 12 months remaining on his contract when the summer of 2023 comes around, so if he continues to experience frustrations in Milan, Tottenham could finally get their hands on him.
Interestingly, amid rumours of Juventus wanting to rehire Conte, it has even been said that the Italian giants may attempt to sign Bastoni in a ploy to lure their old boss back to Turin.
Only time will tell what happens, although Guardiola could complicate things if he decides to submit a bid.
