Italian outlet CMW claim Juventus could raid Inter Milan and sign long-term Tottenham target Alessandro Bastoni in order to tempt Antonio Conte into swapping Spurs for another spell at his old club. Bastoni was not happy on Sunday.
Indeed, the 23-year-old was substituted off by Inter manager Simone Inzaghi against Udinese. A game in which Inter lost 3-1. Bastoni was seen kicking a chair in front of him in the dugout, having remained loyal to Inter in the summer.
Reports claim that Bastoni’s reaction has caught the attention of Fabio Paratici, who may look to sign the Italian once again. A fee would be in the region of £52.5million. But now, Juventus could look to elbow Conte and Spurs aside.
That is because, Juventus are seemingly keen to bring Conte back to The Old Lady’s dugout. Having played for the club 420 times as a player, he managed Juve for three years between 2011 and 2014 – winning 102 of his 151 games.
Now, CMW report that to sweeten, or tempt Conte into a return – they will sign a player he has requested at Spurs. Bastoni is in the final two years of his contract at Inter. Whether he would be tempted by a move to Juve, is unclear.

It certainly would tempt Conte. But regardless of whether Juventus get Conte or not, they also desperately require central defenders. They have lost Matthijs de Ligt and Giorgio Chiellini, and only really replaced them with Bremer.
Bringing in Bastoni would give them a solid basis for years to come. Whether or not Conte is open to a return to the club he left eight years ago does not really matter. They need a player like Bastoni. But Bastoni would tempt Conte.
Conte loves Bastoni and that affection is mutual. Conte brought Bastoni into the side when guiding Inter to the Scudetto in 2020-21. Would Bastoni go from a title contender, to a struggling Juve side? That is the sticking point.
