Pedro Porro was on the scoresheet as Tottenham Hotspur secured another win in pre-season on Saturday.
Tottenham were involved in a five-goal thriller as they beat J-League side Vissel Kobe 3-2, with Son Heung-min and Mikey Moore getting the other goals.
To nobody’s surprise, Ange Postecoglou’s players are enjoying a goal fest so far this summer and they have already helped themselves to 11 goals from three matches.
Many players far and wide are performing and impressing. All of which stands in good stead for their Premier League opener away at newly-promoted, Leicester City.
Tottenham fans have all been saying the same things about Archie Gray, with other young stars also impressing and trying to make a name for themselves.
Lucas Bergvall was blown away by Mikey Moore after the win over Vissel Kobe, as the teenagers seem to be taking over.
But don’t forget about the old pro, the man with the armband and the ever-popular Son, who turned 32 at the start of the month and is nearing a decade at the club.
Not just with the fans in his homeland is Son the most popular and in Asia, or with those who repping him inside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but also with his teammates.
All-action right-back Porro proved that when he told Son on Instagram that it is a ‘pleasure’ to play alongside the speedster.
Pedro Porro hails Son Heung-min
‘What a pleasure to play by your side,’ wrote Porro in the comments section of Son’s IG post, with the Korean star writing to his fans:
‘Some amazing experiences here in Japan, I always love to be here thank you for the hospitality everyone and to Vissel Kobe. 🇯🇵 😁
‘Korea, we are coming home soon. I can’t wait to see you all and play in front of you!!’
Son Heung-min next season
Two seasons ago, Son didn’t look himself and he only netted ten Premier League goals, which for his standard, is pretty poor.
But he was back to his best later term – scoring 17 goals and supplying 10 assists – what was even more impressive about that was, it was without his partner in crime and now-Bayern Munich star, Harry Kane.

The London club are now being urged to bring in that number nine, so Son can shift to the left and they can progress in the goalscoring department.
Darren Ambrose suggested Ivan Toney can help Tottenham close the gap on Manchester City, with the Brentford striker a sought-after player this summer.
Sources have told HITC Tottenham’s transfer stance on Toney, as he has 12 months left on his current contract.
