Tottenham Hotspur striker Mikey Moore has opened up on what has been a whirlwind couple of days for the English teenager.
Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur kicked off their pre-season campaign with a 5-1 victory over Scottish Premiership side Hearts.
The Australian handed a debut to Leeds United signing Archie Gray and well as promising midfielder Lucas Bergvall, who has been hailed as the next Zlatan Ibrahimovic in terms of the impact made on the national team.
As well as handing these players their first appearance for Spurs, Postecoglou also gave minutes to promising duo Mikey Moore and Will Lankshear.

Moore reacts to Tottenham goal
Moore earned praise from the Tottenham fans for his goal against the Scottish side and even Lamine Yamal has been mentioned in the same breath as the teenager.
“To score my first goal, even though it was in a pre-season game, was probably the best feeling I’ve had so far, and to score in front of the fans as well… it was unreal!” Moore told Tottenham’s website.
“The little dribble and finish… it’s what I’ve been doing in the Academy so I just wanted to keep doing what I’ve been doing. Even though it was a pre-season game, it meant everything to me.”
The teenager featured as a second-half substitute in Tottenham’s final two Premier League games of last season against Manchester City and Sheffield United and he looks to be a real player.
Despite being just 16 years of age, Moore could well be one of the faces of the future for Tottenham as they continue their rebuild under Postecoglou.
Moore and Lankshear could be given opportunites for Tottenham
Postecoglou is certainly not a manager who will be afraid to hand more and Lankshear chances in the first team.
The Australian manager was keen to praise Lankshear following the game against Hearts and the 19-year-old could be given a chance.
HITC has reported that Tottenham want a striker this summer with Feynoord’s Santiago Gimemez a target but Lankshear should be given opportunities, if the club can’t strike a deal.
As for Moore, the Englishman is just 16 years of age so he may have to wait for his chances in the first team.
