Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou was keen to praise one young star following the pre-season victory over Hearts.
Ange Postecoglou is preparing for his second season at Tottenham Hotspur as he guided the club to a fifth placed finish and Europa League football.
Spurs have been busy in the summer transfer market with the two midfield additions of Leeds United’s Archie Gray and Djurgardens Lucas Bergvall.
This is certainly an exciting time to be a fan of the Lilywhites and the club kicked off their pre-season tour with a 5-1 victory over Hearts, with a selection of academy players impressing.

Postecoglou keen to praise one academy star
The majority of the praise from fans of the North London club was for 16-year-old Mikey Moore, who netted against the Scottish side.
Moore has been compared to Lamine Yamal by fans of Spurs, which may be a slight over exaggeration, but the fans have every right to be excited.
However, it was another player in Will Lankshear who Postecoglou was keen to praise in his post-match press conference.
Lankshear moved to the club from Sheffield United, but has previously been on the books at Arsenal before being released by the Gunners.
Despite playing just 22 minutes, the Englishman scored for the club and completed 100% of his attempted dribbles.
“Will was good. We kind of brought him in this last week. He’s looked bright in training. He worked hard,” Postecoglou said.
”He’s had a very good year last year and it’s about rewarding him for that. It’s about coming in and making an impact. He did well and he took his goal well.”
Will Lankshear has high potential
The 19-year-old striker is certainly a player who fans of the Lilywhites should get excited over.
Able to play as a striker, Spurs are certainly in need of options up front and the teenager, who has a contract until 2029, could be exactly that.
Lankshear netted 30 goals in all competitions for Spurs’ youth side last season and was named PL2 Player Of The Year and he could have a key role to play in the club’s first team setup next season.
