A lot has been made about the academy set up at some of the top Premier League clubs in England.

Whether it’s Manchester United who have brought through Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho in recent years or Liverpool who have given a chance to Jarell Quansah in their backline.

However, one side who are hardly mentioned when it comes to the potential crop of youth talent that could be coming through is Tottenham Hotspur.

Under Ange Postecoglou, who is certainly a manager who can develop an academy player, this seems like one of the more exciting times in recent history to support the Lilywhites.

Four Tottenham wonderkids that could be key for club next season

The Lilywhites have already completed two key signings this summer with the addition of Leeds United midfielder Archie Gray and Djurgarden’s wonderkid Lucas Bergvall, who was also of interest to Barcelona.

Following his debut against Hearts in pre-season, fans were impressed with Gray and could see the quality that fans of Leeds United were talking about.

As for Bergvall, the Swedish midfielder is an incredibly exciting midfielder who is seemingly destined for great things and Bergvall has even earned comparisons to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Whilst these two are signings from elsewhere, the club also have two players in their academy who could go on to become world-class talents.

Mikey Moore and striker Will Lankshear are the two prospects who Spurs believe could be world class.

Moore and Lankshear key to future of Spurs

Moore scored against Hearts and received praise from the Spurs fanbase who believe the 16-year-old could be their own Lamine Yamal.

The teenager has attracted attention from elsewhere with HITC reporting that Paris-Saint Germain and Real Madrid were interested in Moore.

There was also interest from the Premier League too but Postecoglou’s Spurs are confident of holding onto the talented 16-year-old.

As for Lankshear, the forward featured for just 22 minutes against Hearts but made a key impact as he struck against the Scottish side.

Ange Postecoglou was certainly impressed with Lankshear when he spoke after the game and the 19-year-old is surely in line for more opportunities during pre-season.

Lankshear was previously on Arsenal’s books before being released and moving to Sheffield United and now the 19-year-old, who scored 30 goals in all competitions last season, could be set for his breakthrough at Spurs.

Tottenham don’t often have four teenage players who could cause this much excitement but the Lilywhites may have one of the most promising quartets in the Premier League.
