Bayern Munich have had an interesting season despite once again winning the Bundesliga title, and this summer is shaping up to be a big one for the German giants.

Reports have indicated that numerous big-name players could be set to leave Bayern in the transfer window, and for clubs in the Premier League, this could be music to their ears ahead of the summer.

After all, Bayern have one of the best squads in world football, and Premier League sides will be more than happy to scoop up some of their key players after dominating the Bundesliga for so long.

Here are five players who could make the move to the Premier League this summer from Bayern, with some huge names set to leave Munich in the coming months.

Josip Stanisic

A product of Bayern’s famed youth academy, Josip Stanisic has this season finally broken into the senior team after years of impressive performances at youth level, with the 22-year-old making 17 appearances in all competitions.

A right-back by trade but also capable of playing across the entire defensive line, the Croatia U-21 international has impressed when given the chance this season for Bayern, though with reports suggesting that Noussair Mazraoui is close to signing, Stanisic could be better off leaving Munich for regular football.

With Benjamin Pavard likely to remain at Bayern, Stanisic might have to rethink his future with the Bavarian giants, and the Premier League could be an exciting option for the youngster given how little the defender could go for this summer.

Marc Roca

Bayern’s acquisition of Marc Roca in 2020 was always an odd one, on paper. And two years since the deal, the 25-year-old now looks set to depart Bavaria after failing to become a regular for the German giants.

Whilst current reports suggest that FC Barcelona are interested in Roca, the likes of Arsenal and Aston Villa have been linked with the Spaniard over the months, meaning there could be a chance that the midfielder moves to England this summer.

Likened to Thiago Alcantara by Bayern legend Lothar Matthaus, Roca could be an excellent Premier League signing this summer, and with the midfielder set for an exit, there could be a bargain on the table for one lucky English club.

Marcel Sabitzer

Last summer was dominated by reports that Arsenal and Tottenham were interested in signing Marcel Sabitzer, who instead of heading to England opted to sign for Bayern in a shock transfer very few expected. Yet 12 months on, the deal has been nothing but a disaster.

The Austrian international’s form has been woeful, and new reports now suggest that the midfielder could be set to leave Bayern already, a deal which could be hard given Sabitzer’s hefty wage package.

With Arsenal reportedly reigniting their interest to sign Sabitzer and Atletico Madrid also in the chase, it will be interesting to see where the playmaker ends up. Though by the sound of things, Bayern are desperate to offload the former RB Leipzig captain.

Serge Gnabry

Speaking of Arsenal, the Gunners are also believed to be one of the few sides interested in signing Serge Gnabry, who could leave Bayern this summer with the Bavarian club failing to offer the winger a new contract.

A former star at the Emirates Stadium and now one of the best wingers in the world, Gnabry returning to Arsenal would be a fairy tale transfer for many fans, though reports also suggest that Liverpool and, incredibly, Tottenham are also interested in the German.

Given his world-class quality and the fact he is yet to hit his peak, Gnabry could be one of the biggest transfers of the summer should the winger leave Bayern, and the Premier League would be a perfect next step for the attacker.

Robert Lewandowski has arguably been the best player in the world over the past two years, and according to reports, the striker will leave Bayern this summer, with the £369,000-a-week superstar a target for Liverpool and Barcelona.

The Polish international has the height of his powers, and Lewandowski leaving Bayern will be one of the most significant transfers of the summer, moreover, the Premier League could be ideal for the 33-year-old forward.

Lewandowski is more than capable of competing in the English top-flight, and with some clubs desperate for a new striker, the Bundesliga superstar could be perfect to join one of the Premier League’s biggest sides to lead their line.
