Jamie Carragher has made a prediction about who will get top 4 between Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United at the end of the season.

Currently, Eddie Howe’s side are in 4^th place, with a one-point advantage as well as a game in hand over Antonio Conte’s men. Simultaneously, the Magpies seem to have a defined style of play, while the same cannot be said for the Lilywhites so far this campaign, which was slated by Spurs fan, Jamie O’Hara in November.

Assessing both Tottenham and Newcastle this season, Jamie Carragher has made a prediction about which side will ultimately get top 4.

However, Jamie Carragher has made a prediction about Newcastle beating Tottenham to top 4 and securing their place in the Champions League.

“I think they can [make top 4]. I think Newcastle for me, alongside Arsenal are one of the most exciting teams to watch. When you watch them, it just feels like it’s so fast and energetic. “

“They’ve only lost one game and I know they’ve drawn a lot of games but to only lose 1 Premier League game over halfway through a season, no matter who you are, it’s some going that. Premier League games are tough.”

“We know Newcastle are not the best team in the league, they’re in the top 4 right now, so to only lose 1 game is some going. I think how Eddie Howe has got them set-up defensively as well, they don’t look like a soft touch, a typical Newcastle team where it’ll be end to end. It would be any type of score. I think Eddie Howe is one of the managers of the season, no doubt. But it’ll be tough for them, Tottenham will be there or thereabouts. But I think Newcastle have got something special going on there”, Carragher said on the Overlap Fan Debate while explaining his top 4 prediction.

Considering Jamie Carragher even previously called Newcastle the ‘most organised team in the league’ and Eddie Howe his manager of the season, one can see why his prediction sees them pip Tottenham for a place in the top 4.
