Tottenham have already made moves in the transfer market as Ange Postecoglou prepares for his second season as manager.

Postecoglou hit the ground running at Spurs, taking them to the top of the Premier League in his first few months in charge.

The North London club ended up narrowly missing out on Champions League qualification with a fifth-placed finish in the Premier League.

Postecoglou will now be tasked with juggling weekly league matches with mid-week European trips which will require much more depth in his Tottenham squad.

A £40million move for Archie Gray has been Tottenham’s headline signing this summer with Lucas Bergvall also joining to strengthen the midfield.

Joe Rodon has been the only departure so far with the Welsh defender completing a permanent move to Leeds United after spending last season on loan with the Championship side.

Gabby Agbonlahor urges Tottenham to accept Richarlison deal

Tottenham spent £50million to sign Richarlison in 2022 after impressing for Everton but he has struggled to nail down a spot in North London.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Gabriel Agbonlahor said “Richarlison was better last season with 11 goals but if he wants to be the main No.9 next season he needs to be better.

“I think he will get a chance next season because will Spurs want to pay the £50million for [Ivan] Toney? I don’t think Spurs will buy anyone.

After Ade Oladipo pointed out that Richarlison had been linked with a £50million move to Saudi Arabia, Agbonlahor replied – “Give me £25million, 100 per cent.”

Agbonlahor has been critical of Richarlison previously, describing him as a player that “can’t control the ball.” He added “He’s not strong enough to hold the ball up, he’s not good with link-up play, he can’t run in behind because he’s not quick enough, he can’t finish.”

HITC understands that Richarlison has confirmed to the Saudi Pro League he would be interested in a move.

Saudi clubs are ready to step up their interest in him in the coming weeks but Tottenham are demanding a fee of around £60million.

Richarlison’s team commented on his future at the club earlier this season amid reports that he was unhappy at Spurs.
