Tyc Sports journalist Gaston Edul has reported that Roberto De Zerbi’s Brighton & Hove Albion have set a £62 million asking price for Arsenal target Alexis Mac Allister in the summer.
After garnering plenty of praise for his brilliant display in the World Cup final and throughout the tournament as a whole, the Argentine’s stock reached an all-time high. So much so that even before Ben Jacobs stated that Mikel Arteta’s side were interested in signing the midfielder, Antonio Conte and Co. were linked even before them.
Now, it seems both Arsenal and Tottenham could go head-to-head to sign Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton in the summer, who could be available for £62 million in the summer of 2023.
Brighton set £62 million asking price for Arsenal target Alexis Mac Allister
As per the latest information provided by Tyc Sports’ Gaston Edul, as relayed by All About Argentina on Twitter, Brighton could let Arsenal target Alexis Mac Allister leave in the summer for a fee in the region of £62 million.

Further details suggest that while the ‘unbelievable’ 24-year-old decided to stay at the Amex Stadium this campaign, it will be ‘extremely difficult’ for the Seagulls to keep hold of him in the summer, due to interest from a number of elite Premier League sides.
Gaston Edul had also stated in a separate tweet that £62 million-rated Alexis Mac Allister seems set to leave Brighton for a club, which one can assume Arsenal in this instance but only in the summer.
Arsenal could get the ideal upgrade for Granit Xhaka in if they sign him
While Granit Xhaka is having a wonderful season, this is the best he has ever performed for the Gunners, and at 30, one wonders how much upside to his game is still left.
On the other hand, Brighton ace Alexis Mac Allister, who Ian Wright once called ‘underrated’ is not even close to his prime and has shown for both club and country that he is ready to play at the highest level, which would make the £62 million fee worthwhile for the league leaders.
Keeping that in mind, a transfer next summer makes sense for both the player and the buying the club.
