Jamie O’Hara has said on talkSPORT (8:35am, December 19, 2022) that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool should bid for Argentina international midfielder Alexis Mac Allister, and has criticised Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur for not signing the Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder.
O’Hara has been hugely impressed by Mac Allister’s performances for Argentina at the 2022 Qatar World Cup, and believes that Liverpool, Newcastle United, Manchester United and Manchester City should bid for the 23-year-old midfielder.
The former Tottenham player has added that Spurs should have signed the Argentine from Brighton instead of Yves Bissouma in the summer of 2022.
Mac Allister played for Argentina at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
The South American giants have won the tournament, beating 2018 winners France in the final on Sunday evening.
Spurs have actually been linked with Mac Allister.
Italian outlet L’Interista have reported that Tottenham, Atletico Madrid and Juventus have joined Inter Milan in the race to sign Mac Allister.
Mac Allister has scored five goals in 14 Premier League appearances for Brighton so far this season.
The 23-year-old scored one goal and gave one assist in six 2022 Qatar World Cup matches for Argentina.

Liverpool urged to sign Tottenham Hotspur target Alexis Mac Allister
O’Hara said about Mac Allister: “I mean, he has been unbelievable. What a tournament he has had! I couldn’t believe how fantastic he was.
“I thought he was exceptional. I can’t believe he is at Brighton. I think big clubs are going to come in looking for him. We signed Bissouma. I mean, why did we sign when we could have got Mac Allister?”
The pundit added: “If you are Newcastle, Man United, Liverpool, even Man City. I would be looking at Mac Allister and going, ‘I will tell you what. That is some player we could have in our side’.”
