Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Alexis Mac Allister, and the Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder showed why with his performances for Argentina at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Mac Allister, on the radar of Tottenham, Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Inter Milan, played consistently well for Argentina at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
The South American giants got the better of the 2018 winners France in the final on Sunday evening.
Mac Allister, 23, started in the final and was superb, just like he had been throughout the tournament.
Italian outlet L’Interista have reported that Tottenham, Atletico Madrid and Juventus have joined Inter Milan in the race to sign Mac Allister.
And we think that his performance for Argentina in Qatar will only embolden the clubs interested in him to make bids for him, either in the January transfer window or next summer.
While we do not think that Brighton are going to sell the young Argentine midfielder in the middle of the season, the Seagulls could cash in on him next summer.

Peru international forward Beto da Silva played with Mac Allister at Argentinos Juniors, and he was hugely impressed by the Tottenham target, as you can see from his Instagram post below.
