Destiny Udogie wouldn’t have been disappointed with just Tottenham Hotspur’s draw at Leicester City, but also their latest transfer call.

On Monday night, Spurs opened their Premier League account with a 1-1 draw at the King Power Stadium.

Ange Postecoglou’s side have been very busy in the transfer market this summer and that doesn’t seem to be stopping ahead of deadline day.

Dominic Solanke made his Tottenham debut against Leicester, but he couldn’t find the back of the net.

Tottenham secured the transfer of Archie Gray from Leeds United and fans also got to see him for the first time, as well as another rising star, Lucas Bergvall.

For these players to come in, the London club have had to let players head for the exit door to balance the books.

Emerson Royal left Tottenham and joined AC Milan, with hard-hitting midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg moving to France and joining Roberto De Zerbi’s Marseille.

And now another popular member of the dressing room has headed for the exit door during the build of Spurs’ trip to the Midlands.

Oliver Skipp has secured a £20 million move to Leicester and was in attendance at the King Power Stadium on Monday night.

It would have been interesting to see who he would have been cheering on, but the midfielder sent a message to Spurs fans on Instagram after his exit.

Several players reacted in the comments section, including Udogie, Ryan Sessegnon, Brandan Austin, Troy Parrott and Michel Vorm.

Oliver Skipp leaves Tottenham Hotspur and joins Leicester City

Vorm told Skipp ‘All the best,’ with Udogie writing ‘Skippy,’ added with a crying emoji and Micky van de Ven sending a heart emoji.

Parrott, who moved to AZ Alkmaar this summer, told Skipp ‘Good luck, my man’ and Japhet Tanganga also wished him luck.

Sessegnon and Austin wrote ‘All the best’ to Skipp, who will now aim to help the Foxes avoid relegation, with that point against Tottenham being a positive start.

Tottenham Hotspur’s midfield

Spurs fans will be annoyed because the team should have put Leicester away, but the old problems of last season reared its ugly head.

Tottenham boss Postecoglou axed Yves Bissouma for the Leicester clash, but the door is open for his return after the midfielder’s off-field antics.

Then you look towards players like Bergvall and Gray. Two very exciting talents who are good enough to start given the performances they have put in pre-season.

Tottenham host Everton for their first home game of the season and this is a game they should earn three points given that the Toffees were smashed 3-0 on the opening day.
