- EXCLUSIVE from Graeme Bailey
Leicester City are closing in on their sixth signing of the summer after holding talks with Tottenham Hotspur.
The Foxes have already added Issahaku Fatawu, Caleb Okoli, Michael Golding, Bobby De Cordova-Reid and Facundo Buonanotte to their squad.
But Leicester City are still in the market for extra reinforcements and have set their sights on a new central midfielder.
HITC understands that Leicester City have opened up talks with Tottenham for Oliver Skipp.
The 23-year-old has fallen down the pecking order in North London after the arrival of Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall this summer.
With little opportunity for first-team minutes this season, Spurs are willing to part ways with Skipp and are demanding a fee in excess of £20million.
HITC understands that a deal worth £20million plus £5million in add-ons is being discussed between the two parties.

Leicester set to beat Premier League rivals
Signing a player with over 70 games of Premier League experience would be a great addition to Steve Cooper‘s squad.
Skipp has made over 20 Premier League appearances in each of his last two seasons at Spurs and was hailed as “phenomenal” by former manager Jose Mourinho.
The Foxes are still facing competition for his signature, mostly from other Premier League sides.
After Tottenham made Skipp available this summer, HITC has been informed by sources that West Ham, Nottingham Forest, Ipswich Town, Southampton and Everton have all shown an interest in him.
However, Leicester are currently leading the race and are in negotiations with Tottenham to try and finalise terms.

The Foxes begin their Premier League campaign on Monday evening when they face Spurs at the King Power Stadium.
All eyes will be on whether Skipp is involved in Ange Postecoglou’s matchday squad or whether he is left out as he moves closer to an exit.
