Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou believes that a teenage star could make a key impact for the club this season.
During the current pre-season, academy players have been at the forefront for Tottenham Hotspur with these supplemented by young signings who certainly look the business.
Spurs signed Leeds United’s Archie Gray this summer and the English midfielder already looks to be a star player for Ange Postecoglou’s side.
As well as this, Lucas Bergvall has shown moments of promise for Spurs but, as mentioned, it is the academy players who have stolen the show, and one teenager in particular has impressed.

Ange Postecoglou on Mikey Moore’s impact
After scoring against Hearts in a 5-1 victory, teenager Mikey Moore has been compared to Lamine Yamal and the 16-year-old looks set for an important role for the Lilywhites this season.
HITC reported that Spurs are set to tie down Moore to a new contract this summer after his impressive pre-season performances for the club.
We had also reported that Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain were keen on Moore but the Englishman believes he is best served remaining in London.
Speaking to Football.London, Postecoglou is seemingly keen on rewarding Moore with first-team minutes this summer.
“It’s fair to say, it’s incredible that he’s 16 turning 17,” Postecoglou said. “He handles it really well, and that’s part of the process when you’re a young footballer if you’re going well. We can’t protect him from all of it. But he’s been great.
“He’s come back pre-season and done really well in the games and in training. It’s great for this football club that’s come through our academy and is already showing great promise.
“But he’s a young man. Our role is to have the best possible environment for him to be the best footballer he can be.”
Moore could be the most exciting addition made to Spurs’ side
Alongside Bergvall, Gray and Will Lankshear, Moore could form an exciting young quartet for Spurs under Postecoglou.
The 16-year-old looks ready for men’s football but it is unlikely that Postecoglou will throw the teenager in at the deep end at the beginning of the season.
However, as the campaign goes on, Postecoglou may well be tempted to hand the teenager minutes in the Carabao Cup or FA Cup.
Spurs are set to complete the signing of Dominic Solanke soon but it is the emergence of Moore that should really excite fans of the Lilywhites.
