The United States of America are one of the three host nations for the 2026 World Cup.

In turn, thousands upon thousands of fans have flocked to the USA to support their nations in action, with many immersing themselves in the American culture.

One of the many things on offer for travelling supporters to get stuck into, of course, is the food in the US. And one Brazilian supporter has now given his verdict.

Brazil fan says American food is tasty but has a lot of calories

Previously, an English fan expressed his love for American BBQ while saying it was ‘the best beef I’ve ever had in my life.’

The price of food in North America has also been a talking point, but on the whole, most supporters seem generally happy with what they are eating.

Now, during an interview with CBS via Instagram, a travelling Brazilian fan shared his verdict on what America has to offer.

When doing so, he showed his love for the food, but did mention how many calories it contains.

He stated: “I think American food is very tasty, but it has a lot of calories, man.”

Just like the higher prices of food and beer at this World Cup, European supporters will also have to get used to seeing a lot more calories in their food this summer.

But while the calories may be higher, a number of visitors like what they have found in US stores. The same report from CBS also mentions how tourists are ‘hooked’ on ranch dressing and are trying to take it back to their own countries.

This prompted the TSA to send out a reminder that ranch needs to be put into checked bags when travelling through airports.
