- EXCLUSIVE from Graeme Bailey
HITC understands that Chelsea have underlined their position to one player this summer, who was omitted from their pre-season tour squad.
Chelsea, under new manager Enzo Maresca, have certainly been busy in the summer transfer market as the club prepare for yet another new rebuild under the Italian.
Kiernan Dewsbury Hall, Tosin Adarabioyo, Willian Estevao and Aston Villa’s Omari Kellyman are just some of the names who have been brought in this summer.
Omari Kellyman, who joined Chelsea from Aston Villa for £20 million, is one of the names who has missed out on the club’s pre-season tour. As has defender Trevoh Chalobah and his future has now been called into question.

Chelsea’ stance on Chalobah explained
Sources have told HITC that Chelsea have informed Chalobah that he has no future at the club after failing to make the pre-season tour squad.
We had previously reported that Crystal Palace were keen on the Chelsea defender, but they have yet to make a move.
Sources close to the player have confirmed to HITC that he was expecting the news, but he is still ‘hugely disappointed’ to have been left out as it confirms that he is not in Maresca’s plans for next season.
Chalobah battled his way back into the first-team under previous manager Mauricio Pochettino last term despite being told he could leave.
Despite this, Chelsea’s hierarchy have made it clear to Maresca that they want Chalobah sold and the Italian is understood to have adhered to their wishes.
HITC can also reveal that Chelsea have informed Chalobah that he will not be included in their Premier League squad next season – so if he wants to play, it will have to be away from Stamford Bridge.
Premier League interest in Chalobah
Despite seemingly being put on the scrap heap by Chelsea, sources have told HITC that over half of the teams in the Premier League have enquired over a deal for the Englishman.
Previously, he had shown little desire to depart Stamford Bridge but this latest development has meant that the player has very much realised that his future lies away from Stamford Bridge.
HITC had reported a couple of months ago that Tottenham were keen on the double signing of Chalobah and midfielder Conor Gallagher from Chelsea.
If Chalobah does show intent to leave this summer, HITC understands there are ‘three or four’ clubs ready to make offers.
As well as Chalobah, sources have told HITC that Cesare Casadei and David Datro Fofana have been told that they can leave on permanent deals.
