- EXCLUSIVE from Graeme Bailey
Chelsea have decided to reintegrate Trevoh Chalobah into Mauricio Pochettino’s team, HITC understands.
Sources have informed HITC that Chelsea had told Trevoh Chalobah that he could leave in the January transfer window.
Chelsea make U-turn over Trevoh Chalobah
AC Milan, AS Roma and Atletico Madrid all showed interest in signing the 24-year-old last month. Crystal Palace and Fulham also looked at doing a potential deal for the former England Under-21 international, who can operate as a centre-back or as a defensive midfielder.
However, Chelsea did not get an offer that was acceptable to them, and the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners did not sell Chalobah in the end.

Source have now told HITC that Chalobah will be reintegrated into the first-team set-up. He will get the chance to impress head coach Mauricio Pochettino.
We have also been informed that and Chalobah’s performances will dictate whether or not he has a future at Chelsea.
Chalobah is under contract at Chelsea until the summer of 2028 with the option for a further year. Former Blues head coach Graham Potter described him as “a bit of a soldier’ who is “very professional” and is “an impressive character”.
Trevoh Chalobah should take his chances
It is time now for Trevoh Chalobah to take the chances that he will get at Chelsea.
Chalobah has not played a single match for Chelsea this season, so clearly Mauricio Pochettino did not have him in his plans for the past few months.
The Englishman will now have to work hard in training and get the chance to get into the team. And, when Chalobah does get a game, he has to make the most of it.
Chalobah has made 45 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. He has scored three goals, given one assist, and kept 13 clean sheets in those games.
