Tottenham are now keen to sign Jesper Lindstrom at the end of the season – although he is currently in talks with Arsenal.
What’s the story?
Well – according to Ekstra Bladet – Spurs are hoping to bring the Denmark international to N17 this summer.
However – as detailed by German outlet Sport1 – Arsenal have already made contact with Eintracht Frankfurt, and are in talks over a deal as the Bundesliga side prepare themselves for a sale.
That same source claims that Lindstrom has a £26m price tag.
Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Inter Milan and Napoli are also interested in the Dane.
Lindstrom has alerted some of Europe’s elite clubs to his services after scoring nine goals and providing four assists in 31 appearances this season.

The 23-year-old also played a key role as Eintracht Frankfurt won the UEFA Europa League last term, registering 14 goal involvements in all competitions.
For those of you who aren’t aware of Lindstrom, a comparison may help.
Interestingly, the Dane has been compared to Bayern Munich and Germany icon Thomas Muller.
Tottenham will surely struggle to beat Arsenal in Lindstrom race
In our view, Spurs will struggle to compete against the Gunners in this particular transfer battle.
Arsenal can already offer Lindstrom Champions League football for next season in their talks with the Eintracht Frankfurt No.29 – which should prove to be crucial.
In contrast, Tottenham do not know whether they’ll qualify as they sit fifth in the Premier League.
Additionally, Spurs also don’t have a manager in place yet after sacking Antonio Conte, nor do they have an active Director of Football after Fabio Paratici was banned.
Therefore, Tottenham can’t exactly lay down much groundwork over the signing of Lindstrom without these key roles occupied.
Nevertheless, be sure to keep an eye on the situation, as anything could happen.
