According to Calciomercato, Arsenal and Barcelona are keen to sign Jesper Lindstrom from Eintracht Frankfurt.

What’s the story?

Well, the 22-year-old has been performing well for the German side on a regular basis since his move from Brondby in 2021, helping Eintracht Frankfurt win the Europa League last season.

Now, Lindstrom has attracted some of Europe’s biggest clubs as a result of his shining displays.

Calciomercato believe Manchester City, Juventus, Bayern Munich, AC Milan and Roma are all interested in signing the Denmark international, in addition to Arsenal and Barcelona.

The Dane has a contract with Eintracht Frankfurt running until June 2026, so it won’t be easy to lure him away from the Bundesliga outfit.

Lindstrom has scored three goals in ten appearances so far this season, including the winning goal in a 1-0 win over Marseille in the Champions League.

It comes after he scored five goals and provided nine assists in 39 appearances last term to fire Eintracht Frankfurt to Europa League glory, as aforesaid.

Arsenal or Barcelona could sign the next Thomas Muller

At the moment, Lindstrom is far from a household name, so you would be forgiven for not knowing too much about him.

In that respect, a comparison may be helpful.

Lindstrom has actually been likened to Bayern Munich and Germany icon Thomas Muller since his breakthrough at Eintracht Frankfurt, which speaks volumes about his ability given the German’s legacy in football.

The comparisons arose due to the pair’s ability to shine both on the right flank as well as in the centre of attack, while they both possess a similar, leggy physique.

Lindstrom even celebrates in an eerily similar manner to Muller, as you can see above.

There are many exciting players emerging from Eintracht Frankfurt at the moment, and the versatile Danish forward is certainly one of them.
