Norway striker Erling Haaland has been one of the standout stars from this summer’s World Cup.
The Manchester City star has seen his goals on the pitch and personality off the pitch earn himself millions of new fans.
One big fan of the Norwegian forward is famous actor Tom Holland, who is best known for his role as Spider-Man.

However, the same cannot be said for Haaland, with the 25-year-old having previously ignored a message from Holland over social media.
Haaland admitted he did not know who Holland was, which resulted in him not responding to the actor, who has 65 million followers on Instagram.

Holland is a big soccer fan and his support for Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur has been well publicized.
However, his impressive resume as an actor was not enough to win him the friendship of Haaland.
“I’ll tell you what: that is exactly the type of humbling experience that is important for actors,” Holland told Jimmy Fallon.
“You know, I texted him, “I’ll take you to dinner.” Not even a response. Not an excuse, not “I’m busy tonight, I’m playing football.” Nada. Nothing.
“I was at Monaco. I was watching Lewis [Hamilton] race, and I saw him. He was in a hospitality suite across from me, and I just thought I’d shoot my shot. Yeah, why not? Send him a text. Haaland. And then, you know, I never imagined I’d talk about it on live television, but here we are.”
Holland is not alone in sharing his admiration for the striker.
Haaland has been compared to LeBron James by fans over in the United States, with the Man City striker rising to a new level of global recognition.
Clearly, he has also earned the support of celebrities as well as football fans across the world.
However, the Norway international has won a lot of support for his level-headed personality, which shines through in not recognizing the actor who plays Spider-Man.
