Stephen Curry tries to appeal to the golf fanatic in LeBron James ahead of his NBA free agency decision.

The Golden State Warriors have been heavily touted as one of the favorites to land LeBron James after the 4x NBA champion left the LA Lakers.

With Stephen Curry still being the face of the Warriors, it’s obvious that fans expect him to make a pitch to James. Curry recently did just that and focused on things outside of basketball as well.

ESPN’s Anthony Slater shared Curry’s interesting pitch to James at a media availability for the American Century Championship.

“I don’t have a percentage,” Curry said. “This is kind of up to him. I feel like any place he called and said, ‘I want to play there,’ he moved mountains to make it happen. And I know we’re in that boat as well.”

Initially, Curry remained tight-lipped about the possibility of playing with James, but he quickly gave away the most intriguing part of his pitch next.

“So the pitch is, we want to play good basketball, be around people that know how to play the game, and hopefully raise our floor on our competitiveness this year.

“There’s good golf in the Bay. But we’re an organization that’s been there. He knows that. And that’s really self-explanatory,” Curry added.

Towards the end of his career, James has become a fan of golfing, and fans are aware that Curry is a phenomenal golfer. If throwing appealing golf into the mix is what it takes to get James to sign on the dotted line, then it was a phenomenal proposal from Chef Curry.
