The reigning Super Bowl champions, the Seattle Seahawks, could be set to face a familiar foe this season in Aaron Donald.
There is strong speculation that the future Hall of Famer is lining himself up to return to the Los Angeles Rams.
Myles Garrett’s trade to the Rams has only added to what has become somewhat of a dream team in Los Angeles, and things could get even better with Donald’s return.
The 35-year-old defensive end is someone that has caused the Seahawks serious problems during his career.
However, this is a new look Seahawks team under coach Mike Macdonald, with their fans sharing their reaction to Donald’s possible return to the game.

Seattle’s offensive line dramatically improved last season, following the addition of Gray Zabel in the 2025 draft.
Having said that, the Rams’ defensive line could also take a big step forward ahead of the 2026 season, but Seahawks fans do not seem too concerned.
‘Ain’t worried at all. Can’t one man win a chip. You need all 53!’ one Seahawks fan said.
‘Not even moved by it,’ said another unfazed Seahawks fan.
Seattle will not play the Rams until Christmas Day, with an awful lot of football to be played in between the start of the season and their first meeting in week 15.
Donald did end his career with a 13-5 record against the Seahawks, which provided him 15.5 sacks.
One Seattle fan admitted he was actually slightly worried: ‘Until he looks washed he’s still Aaron Donald. I’m worried til I’m given a reason not to be.’
He was not alone, with another fan adding: ‘Yeah I’m pretty concerned’.
The Seahawks will be under new ownership from the 2026 season after Neeru Khosla and family won the bidding to take over from the Allen family.
Donald retired after the 2023 season, with one Super Bowl ring to his name, but some Seahawks fans think that version of the defensive end is unlikely to return: ’35 and hasn’t played in three years? Not overly worried,’ said one Seattle fan.
‘Bring him on,’ one simply said.
Time will tell whether Donald makes his return, and, if he does, what level he is able to provide for Sean McVay.
