Famous actor Timothee Chalamet was in attendance for France’s World Cup semi-final defeat against Spain on Tuesday.
The American-born actor has family ties with France, which saw the 30-year-old showcase his support by wearing a France national team jacket.
It was certainly not the result that Chalamet was hoping for as the World Cup favourites, France, were denied their spot in the final by Spain.

However, there was one positive for Chalamet after he was handed the opportunity to meet the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders.

Chalamet’s support for the New York Knicks was made clear throughout their recent play-off series against the San Antonio Spurs.
The 30-year-old is a huge sports fan, with Chalamet also showing his fandom for the NFL after meeting the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders.
Famous throughout the NFL, the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders rose to further stardom following their recent Netflix documentary series.
Chalamet was visibly excited to meet the cheerleaders and even posed for a picture with them as he held onto their pom-poms.
A big soccer fan, it would be no surprise to see Chalamet in attendance on Sunday for the World Cup final in New Jersey.
Whether Timothee Chalamet supports an NFL team
Although Chalamet’s support for the Knicks is well documented, there is no such public support for any of the NFL teams.
Chalamet has been spotted wearing a Raiders coat in the past, but there has been no official word on whether that was through his support for the franchise or just a fashion decision.
The 30-year-old grew up in New York, which would have many naturally assume he would, therefore, support the New York Jets or the New York Giants.
However, there has been no sighting of the actor at either of their games.
