According to Calciomercato, Juventus have now entered the race to sign Arsenal and Tottenham target Evan Ndicka.

Juventus join Arsenal & Tottenham in transfer battle

Well, Mikel Arteta and Antonio Conte will have to work even harder if they are to sign the Frenchman now, as a European juggernaut in Juventus gets involved.

Calciomercato believe the Italian giants are planning to bolster their centre-back department as a result of injury issues and uncertainty over the future of Leonardo Bonucci.

Gleison Bremer was signed from Torino back in May – another defender Tottenham were supposedly interested in – although Massimiliano Allegri feels he needs more options at the back.

It comes after Il Romanista claimed that Arsenal are interested in Ndicka, whereas it was Foot Mercato who revealed that Spurs are keen to secure his signature.

The 23-year-old, who helped Eintracht Frankfurt win the Europa League last season, becomes a free agent in July when his contract expires.

So far this term, Ndicka has made 16 appearances in all competitions, with Eintracht Frankfurt currently sitting fifth in the Bundesliga.

Juventus rivalling Arsenal & Tottenham for a diamond

In our view, Ndicka has the potential to become one of the best defenders in Europe – in truth, he is already performing to a very high standard at the age of just 23.

The France Under-21 international has been likened to World Cup winner Samuel Umtiti, and is already one of the first names on the teamsheet for one of the most impressive sides in Europe.

In our view, Arsenal or Tottenham should use their financial power – helped by the Premier League broadcasting rights – to make a bid in January, or else they risk seeing the competition become far stronger than just Juventus when Ndicka hits free agency.

Be sure to keep an eye on this situation ahead of the January transfer window, as we could see some movement involving the Eintracht Frankfurt No.2 this winter.
