Is Dusan Vlahovic going to Arsenal? This has been a commonly asked question after Gabriel Jesus underwent surgery, and it could now happen at the expense of Tottenham.

Is Vlahovic going to Arsenal?

Well, it is said that Arsenal are leading the race to sign the Serbia international from Juventus – according to Calciomercato in Italy.

Now, the Italian giants are happy to sell their No.9 for a sum of €80m (£70m).

That is according to Calcio Mercato News, who add that Juventus are hoping to sign Jonathan David from Lille as his replacement – the Canada international is valued at £43m.

If these two deals ended up materialising, it would be something of a double blow for Tottenham.

Not only will Spurs see their north London rivals gain a fantastic replacement for the injured Jesus, but they will also lose out on a target of their own in David.

Again, it was Calciomercato who revealed that Antonio Conte wants the Canada international at Hotspur Way.

You may be wondering why Juventus are happy to sell Vlahovic.

Calcio Mercato News believe the Old Lady are disappointed with the 22-year-old’s overall performances following his £66.6m move to Turin back in January.

Vlahovic has scored 16 goals and provided four assists in 36 appearances for the Italian giants so far.

Juventus verdict on Vlahovic is strange

In our view, Vlahovic has done well for Juventus, and talk of them being disappointed in their investment is odd.

16 goals in 34 appearances is a decent return for the Serbian, and at the age of just 22, he is surely going to improve considerably across the next few years.

Nevertheless, if Arsenal end up benefitting from this strange decision, Mikel Arteta won’t care one bit.
