Besiktas could reportedly move for Rangers star Glen Kamara if the Turkish giants fail in their bid to sign Everton outcast Dele Alli, who looked set to join the Istanbul side last week.
According to Fotospor, Besiktas are eyeing the Finnish international as an alternative to Alli, with recent reports suggesting that the midfielder’s move to Turkey is now hanging in the balance despite encouraging progress last week for the Everton player.
Besiktas reportedly agreed to a deal to sign Alli for as much as £8.5m last week, however, it now appears that the £100,000-a-week Everton star could head elsewhere, with Rangers star Kamara lined up as a replacement for the England international this summer.
Hailed by Ryan Kent as an ‘exceptional’ player, Kamara has been one of Rangers’ most important players over the past two seasons, and with reports of interest from the Premier League this summer, a departure from Ibrox could be on the cards in the final days of the transfer window.
Indeed, whilst Rangers would demand a big fee for Kamara, Besiktas’ insistence of paying £8.5m for Alli means that the Scottish giants could receive a hefty sum for the 26-year-old midfielder, but with time on the clock running out, it will take a miracle for the deal to be completed.
Moreover, with Giovanni van Bronckhorst a big fan of Kamara, the Rangers manager could block any late deal for the midfielder this summer, especially with the Dutch coach having nowhere near enough time to find and sign a replacement for the former Arsenal academy graduate.
Besiktas simply don’t have the time to sign Kamara this summer

With just over a week of the window left to go, Besiktas have left it late to sign a star midfielder this summer, and should a move for Alli collapse, the Turkish giants simply won’t have the time to bring Kamara in from Rangers given how important the Fin is to the Scottish giants.
The 25-year-old played a huge role in the club’s Scottish Premiership title win in 2021 as well as Rangers’ run to the UEFA Europa League final last year, and for Van Bronckhorst, selling a player as important as Kamara now in the window would be a very unpopular decision with the fans for the new season.
