According to the Daily Mail, Leeds target Che Adams now wants to leave Southampton to join Everton.
What’s the story?
Well, the Toffees recently made a move for the £52,000-a-week man, who is also wanted by Jesse Marsch.
Everton are said to be interested in an initial loan deal for the Leicester-born striker, which includes an option to buy.
Now, Frank Lampard has received a boost in his pursuit of the Scotland international, as Adams is keen on a move to Goodison Park.
It comes amid a period of uncertainty at Southampton, with the Daily Mail claiming that many players no longer believe in Ralph Hasenhuttl, and feel he should’ve been sacked.
The Saints lost ten of their final 13 games in all competitions last season.
A sum of £10m has been mentioned for Adams, who Southampton spent £15m on when signing him from Birmingham in 2019.
Interest in the 26-year-old comes after he scored eight goals in 33 appearances last season.
Nottingham Forest are also said to be considering a move for Adams, as Steve Cooper looks to strengthen his attack at the City Ground.
Everton could beat Leeds to a great signing
In our view, Adams would be a fantastic addition to Lampard’s squad.
Everton are short of strikers at the moment, after losing Richarlison to Tottenham and Dominic Calvert-Lewin to injury, leaving Salomon Rondon as the only option.

While Adams isn’t necessarily a goal machine, he works tremendously hard, and will run the channels in Jamie Vardy-like fashion throughout the entire game.
Alongside Anthony Gordon and Dwight McNeil – who are also very industrial forwards – Everton would have a tireless frontline, who will get the Goodison Park faithful going with their effort levels.
On an initial loan deal, we see no negatives involving Everton’s potential deal for Adams.
