Everton want Che Adams and want to take the Southampton striker on loan with an option to buy amid interest form Leeds United.

The Toffees have added to their back line well with the additions of Conor Coady, James Tarkowski and Ruben Vinagre.

Add in a strong holding midfielder in Amadou Onana and Everton look to be trying to solidify their side this summer.

A striker is an absolute must though because Richarlison has been sold to Tottenham Hotspur and Dominic Calvert-Lewin is out injured.

Names like Armando Broja, Sasa Kalajdzic and Serhou Guirassy continue to be mentioned, but there’s a new rumour emerging.

Everton want Che Adams

The Athletic report that Everton fancy singing Southampton striker Che Adams.

It’s stated that Everton want to strike a loan-to-buy deal for Adams, just as they have for Vinagre and Coady this summer.

Everton have allegedly made an approach for Adams and Southampton are willing to let him leave, even if they’re publicly suggesting that they want to keep him.

Adams, 26, hit seven goals and three assists in 30 Premier League games for Southampton last season.

That’s nothing truly incredible but Adams has shown that he can chip in with goals and Everton really need that right now.

One somewhat strange note is that Everton is actually one of Adams’ middle names; Che Zach Everton Adams is his full name, and he could now end up playing for the Toffees!

Everton aren’t alone in chasing Adams though, especially after he was only on the bench against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday and went unused.

The Sun recently reported that Leeds United want to sign Adams and are plotting a £10million move.

Leeds need another striker just like Everton and Victor Orta has been a big fan of the Scotland international for years.

Everton are now seemingly ready to fight Leeds for Adams, and Southampton even have replacements identified if they decide to let him go.
