According to Calciomercato in Italy, Tottenham target Hakim Ziyech is now desperate to leave Chelsea for AC Milan.

Tottenham target Ziyech wants AC Milan

Well, it was Dutch news outlet Algemeen Dagblad who revealed that Spurs want to sign the £100,000-a-week man.

However, they must now attempt to convince him why a move to N17 would be better than a switch to Milan.

Calciomercato believe Ziyech and his representatives have made it clear to AC Milan that he would love to join the Italian champions, and have even suggested an initial loan deal including an option to make the move permanent.

AC Milan are said to be flattered by the Morocco international’s desire to join them, although Paolo Maldini – Director of Football at the San Siro – is yet to make a final decision on the Chelsea attacker.

Ziyech has made just one start in the Premier League this season, and looks to have no future at Stamford Bridge under Graham Potter.

Ziyech would suit Tottenham if AC Milan decide against move

In our view, the 29-year-old may be exactly what Spurs are looking for.

Football London have revealed that Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici – Director of Football at Tottenham – are hoping to sign someone similar to Dejan Kulusevski in the January transfer window.

Ziyech is admittedly seven years older than the Sweden international, so he would not represent a good long-term investment, but the pair are very alike in their playing style.

Both are heavily left footed players who often line up on the right, where they tend to cut inside on their stronger foot rather than burst down the flank on the outside of defenders.

Even Rafael van der Vaart believes Ziyech would be a superb signing by Tottenham – in fact, the Dutchman went as far as saying that Spurs could win the Premier League if they signed the Chelsea No.22 when speaking to Ziggo Sports.

Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as a deal could materialise if AC Milan decide not to sign the Moroccan.
