So, Tottenham are now officially through to the Last 16 of the Champions League, despite a nervy performance in Marseille.
A 95th minute strike from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg secured all three points for Spurs, as well as a tidy £2.4m when a draw would’ve seen the north Londoners earn £800,000.
Now, Football London have revealed what Tottenham plan to do with that money and the rest of their transfer budget in the January market.
Tottenham eyeing quality transfers
Well, Alasdair Gold believes Spurs will focus on adding genuine quality to Antonio Conte’s squad this winter, having made an effort to add quantity to the playing staff over the summer.
Tottenham bulked out their options before the September 1st deadline with moves for Djed Spence, Destiny Udogie – who was loaned back to Udinese – Yves Bissouma, Fraser Forster, Richarlison and Ivan Perisic, while Clement Lenglet was signed on loan from Barcelona.
Now, Conte and Fabio Paratici – Director of Football at Spurs – are searching for difference makers.

To be more specific, Tottenham are said to be hoping to find someone of a similar ilk to Dejan Kulusevski.
Football London believe Paratici will search for a similarly creative, but industrial, attacker like the Sweden international, who has been a huge miss in recent weeks as he remains out with a hamstring injury.
You may argue that Bryan Gil can deliver that, although Gold added that the Spaniard is expected to depart on loan.
A new defender may also be signed if Japhet Tanganga leaves.
Who Tottenham could sign in January
Well, with Conte and Paratici on the hunt for someone like Kulusevski, let us have a look at who fits the bill.
According to The Athletic, Tottenham explored a late move for Wilfried Zaha before the September 1st deadline, and the Ivorian would provide bundles of creativity as well as a fine work rate developed under Sam Allardyce and Roy Hodgson at Crystal Palace.
The 29-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the season, so perhaps a cut-price deal may be possible for Spurs.
Another alternative to Kulusevski is Yannick Carrasco – Marca believe Tottenham were willing to pay £52m for the Belgian back in the summer.
AS believe Atlético Madrid are ready to sell him, as they must raise £26m after crashing out of the Champions League, so there is another potential bargain.
Keep an eye on Tottenham this winter, as they look set to be busy in January.
