The 2021/22 Premier League season seems to be very far away, but after the fixtures were announced, we can start looking towards the first game of the campaign.
One team that has an interesting opening fixture is Arsenal.
Indeed, for the second season in a row the Gunners open up against a newly-promoted west London outfit. After beating Fulham 3-0 on the opening day last term, the Gunners now face off against Brentford.
Mikel Arteta’s side could look very different by the time this game rolls around, and we’re going to have a go at predicting how the Gunners will line-up against the Bees in the first game of the season.

We think that there will be plenty of new signings showcased on the opening day.
In goal, Bernd Leno holds onto his number one spot, but don’t be surprised if Andre Onana is watching from the stands for this one, but his ongoing suspension rules him out of this one.
There’s also a new-look defence for Arsenal.
Fabrizio Romano has stated that the Gunners will definitely be signing a right-back this summer, and Max Aarons has been touted as a potential option, while the London club’s firm interest in a £50m move for Ben White could see the Brighton man playing for Arsenal next term.
Rob Holding and Kieran Tierney retain their spots, while Thomas Partey is partnered by Albert Sambi Lokonga, who Arsenal have reportedly bid for this week.
We don’t think Arsenal will have secured a new attacking midfielder signing by the opening day, with Martin Odegaard’s situation looking likely to go down to the wire, but we do think a new striker could be through the door in the shape of Alexander Isak after it was reported that Arsenal have already started talks over signing the Swedish star.
