Arsenal are prepared to pay up to £50 million to sign Ben White from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window, according to The Athletic.
Mikel Arteta’s side are reportedly ready to pay £40-£50 million to secure the services of the former Leeds United loanee.
The report has added that Manchester United, Chelsea and Leicester City have also watched the 23-year-old central defender closely.
Would Ben White make Arsenal better?
White was superb for Brighton in the Premier League this past season.
Described as “excellent” by Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa on Leeds Live in January 2021, the 23-year-old has developed well over the past two seasons.
The 23-year-old played a big role in Leeds winning promotion from the Championship.
The youngster, who can also play as a defensive midfielder, did so well for Brighton in the Premier League this past season that he is now part of the England squad for the Euro 2020 finals.

David Luiz is leaving Arsenal, so there is a spot in the squad for a central defender.
White could form a strong partnership with Gabriel at the heart of the Arsenal defence.
That Arsenal are reportedly willing to pay as much as £50 million underlines just how keen they are on the youngster.
