Some Liverpool fans on social media have been reacting to reports that they’re set to blow Barcelona’s offer out of the water for Franck Kessie.

Kessie is set to be a free agent next summer, and, as ever, that means there will be something of a scramble to sign him on a pre-contract agreement in January.

Liverpool, Barcelona, Tottenham and Newcastle have all been credited with an interest in the Ivorian, but it seems as though the Reds are ready to jump to the front of the queue.

Indeed, according to El Nacional, Liverpool are ready to double what Barcelona are offering Kessie, with the Catalan outfit reportedly ready to offer him a £13m signing on fee.

That means Liverpool would be ready to offer Kessie north of £25m to come to Anfield, and while that sounds insane, it may still represent something of a bargain.

Kessie is certainly a talented footballer, and £25m is a very fair price for a Champions League level midfielder these days.

Reds supporters certainly rate Kessie, taking to social media to call for Michael Edwards to make this signing.

Here’s what the Anfield faithful have been saying on social media…
