Tottenham Hotspur are now starting to make changes to their squad ahead of the new Premier League season.

Ange Postecoglou is in his second season in charge and you feel the expectations at the club are going to go up a level.

This time last summer, Tottenham just had another dour campaign and they were planning for a season without any Europe.

Not forgetting that Harry Kane left for Bayern Munich and that didn’t help matters.

But Postecoglou has helped progress the club. A fifth-placed finish, an attacking brand of football and individual players improving.

The London club have already made a major signing when Archie Gray signed for Tottenham from Leeds United.

But for the club to continue adding players in, you feel players currently within the squad might need to leave.

Giovani Lo Celso has helped Argentina win the Copa America and sources recently told HITC that Tottenham offered Lo Celso & cash to Aston Villa in order to sign Jacob Ramsey.

But you just wonder how much of Lo Celso’s performances on the international stage have changed his manager’s mind because he is showcasing his quality.

You can tell that just by how his teammates reacted to Lo Celso’s recent Instagram message, with Pedro Porro lauding him in the comments section after that Copa America win.

‘How do you even play this,’ wrote Porro, as he applauded his teammate. Ex-Barcelona star Marc Bartra added: ‘Congratulations.’ And Paulo Dybala wrote: ‘Senior player’.

Giovani Lo Celso’s Tottenham Hotspur future

Given that Spurs are offering Lo Celso to Villa, he played less than 500 Premier League minutes last term and has 12 months left on his contract.

Then something has to give regarding his future and you feel it’s likely he heads for the exit door.

Gray is the new kid on the block, yes, he’s only 18, but Tottenham haven’t paid big money for him to sit on the bench.

Yves Bissouma, James Maddison, Rodrigo Bentancur and Pape Matar Sarr all seem to be ahead of him in the pecking order.

Even Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, with the £15 million player coming out and saying he is ‘not satisfied’ at Tottenham under Postecoglou, despite playing more than Lo Celso last term.
