The Premier League title race will be decided on the final day of the season, as an ex-Everton defender, Lucas Digne, could help Liverpool to glory if Aston Villa earns a result at Manchester City.
What will be music to the Liverpool fans’ ears is that Digne has made it clear they will look for ‘no less’ than three points against Manchester City, as he told Villa TV.
Of course, Steven Gerrard’s side don’t need three points, but just a draw, added with Liverpool beating Wolves at Anfield, and the title race is headed to Merseyside.
There are so many stories that could be written from Philippe Coutinho possibly helping his old team out to Jack Grealish winning the title against his boyhood club.
Either way, this was the simple yet blunt message Digne had when asked about what Villa expect at the Etihad.
“Three points, no less,” said Digne. “We go there to show our quality to show our style and we will see what happens.
“It’s one of the biggest teams in the world. But we have some quality and we want to achieve this season in the best way.”

COULD AN EX-EVERTON PLAYER HAVE A BIG SAY ON THE PREMIER LEAGUE TITLE RACE?
Rafa Benitez was still the Everton manager when Digne, one of their key players, was sold to Aston Villa during the January transfer window.
Now, the France international could have a big say on Liverpool possibly becoming champions of England once more.
There are so many fairy tale stories to be written on the final day of the campaign and Man City supporters know too well that absolutely anything can happen.
Given Man City’s recent record against Villa, this one should be straightforward, but that’s what makes everything that little bit more interesting.
