Aston Villa attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho has told The Daily Mail that he has had a lot of message from Liverpool fans on Twitter, as Jurgen Klopp’s side aim to beat Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City to the Premier League title on the final day of the season.
Liverpool are a point behind last season’s champions and current league leaders Manchester City in second.
The Reds will take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday.
City will lock horns with Aston Villa at the Etihad Stadium.
Villa have a Liverpool legend in Steven Gerrard as their manager.
Coutinho, who recently signed a permanent contract with Villa for £17 million (Sky Sports), is a former Liverpool player.
And, according to the Brazil international, he is very popular among the Liverpool fans now, as they want him to help Villa beat City.

Aston Villa’s Philippe Coutinho on Liverpool fans
Coutinho told The Daily Mail: “It’s a great game to play. But we want to finish well against a great club. And that’s it. We always want to improve and do well and finish as high as we can.
“I only care about my new club. I want to play well for them. I have had a lot of messages from Liverpool fans on social media but I don’t look at it that much anyway. My focus is only on the games we have.”
Who will win Premier League title?
In our view, Manchester City will beat Aston Villa on Sunday and will retain the Premier League title, much to the disappointment of Liverpool.
City are in great form at the moment and are used to tensed games.
We do not think that Guardiola’s players will panic or slip up against Villa.
