The stars were out in force at Sunday’s World Cup final, including San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle who took in the game from the stands.
Kittle has been recovering from a torn Achilles sustained back in January against the Philadelphia Eagles, but looked in top form at the weekend as he witnessed Spain win a second-ever World Cup with a win over Argentina.
Video footage shows the NFL star standing in the corner section at the MetLife stadium, where he’s more used to lacing up than watching on.
And he was doing something that has become a common sight across the MLB in recent weeks — going ‘Tarps Off’.

What started as a fun fan moment at a Royals-Cardinals game back in May has become baseball’s biggest fad.
The “Tarps Off” trend is now a staple of every MLB game, with fans taking off their shirts and swinging them in the air as games get down to the decisive moments.
And Kittle brought it to the World Cup on Sunday.
Drinking beers, watching sports, and beating the intense summer heat. What more could you ask for?

Kittle expects to be back for NFL opening week
Achilles tears like the one Kittle suffered can take anywhere from six months to over a year to fully recover from.
The 32-year-old seems to be making excellent progress, though, and fully expects to be available for the 49ers’ opener against the Los Angeles Rams on September 10th.
Without Kittle, they were booted out of the playoffs by eventual Super Bowl winners, the Seattle Seahawks. With their star tight end back in contention, they will be hoping for another leap and a deep playoff run.
