Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation that Barcelona midfielder Miralem Pjanic could be available on a free transfer.
What’s the story?
Mundo Deportivo have reported that Barcelona have told Pjanic that they want him to leave.
The Spanish giants have offered the former AS Roma star the ‘Carta de libertad’, which will allow him to leave for free.
The 31-year-old midfielder joined Barca from Juventus only last summer.
Earlier this month, Sport reported that Tottenham are interested in signing Pjanic from Barcelona in the summer transfer window.
Spurs have reportedly enquired about signing the former Lyon star on a loan deal.
Well-known and well-respected journalist Fabrizio Romano has said on Twitter that the Bosnia and Herzegovina international midfielder has refused Barcelona’s offer.

What are Tottenham Hotspur fans saying?
As you can see from the tweets below, Tottenham fans are open to the prospect of Pjanic joining on a free transfer.
Well, some of them anyway.
The midfielder is on £120,000-a-week salary at Barcelona, and perhaps Spurs could come to an arrangement with the player over that.

Yes, Pjanic has refused Barcelona’s offer to leave by mutual consent, but it is very early in the summer transfer window.
If the midfielder gets the same or more salary than what he is getting at Barcelona at a club who match his footballing ambition, then an exit could well happen.

Meanwhile, some Tottenham fans have given their take on speculation that the club are looking at James Tarkowski, as shown below.
90min have reported that Burnley defender Tarkowski is one of the defenders Spurs are interested in.
