West Ham are reportedly interested in signing Watford star Ismaila Sarr, yet given the winger’s qualities and record in the Premier League, the Irons are not alone in the race.

Previous reports have linked the likes of Crystal Palace and even Liverpool to the Senegal international, with Watford reportedly open to letting Sarr leave this summer for just £25m, a fee that West Ham would be very interested in paying for the winger.

With the attacker finally set to leave Vicarage Road this summer, Sarr is ready for a new adventure in football, yet with West Ham chasing the forward, which other clubs should be interested in signing the former Stade Rennais superstar in the transfer window?

AC Milan head into the summer with their heads held high. The Italian giants are coming off a season where the Rossoneri claimed a historic Serie A title, their first in over a decade. And following RedBird’s takeover of the club this month, there is money to be spent for the San Siro side.

Indeed, the right-wing position is one that could be improved on this summer, and with Sarr desperate to leave Watford, the 24-year-old could be a perfect addition to Milan’s squad and a signing that fits in perfectly with the work Paolo Maldini has done in the market to take the Italian titans to the next level over the past few years.

Another Serie A side who could be perfect for Sarr is AS Roma, who they themselves also made history last season after Jose Mourinho led them to the UEFA Europa Conference League, the Roman side’s first piece of silverware since 2008.

With the future of star talent Nicolo Zaniolo up in the air, Sarr could be a perfect low-cost replacement for the Italian international should he depart the Stadio Olimpico, with the likes of Tottenham and Juventus interested in the attacking midfielder.

From Italy to England, one side who is also reportedly interested in signing Sarr this summer is Everton, with Frank Lampard having a mammoth task on his hands in the coming weeks if he is to restore the Toffees’ hopes of being a stable Premier League club.

With reports of Richarlison leaving Goodison Park intensifying over the past week, Sarr could be a perfect addition this summer to replace the Brazilian international and allow Lampard to play his preferred 4-2-3-1 system with Dominic Calvert-Lewin as the star striker and the Senegal winger out on the right.

Just like Everton, Newcastle United have also been credited with an interest with Sarr, with the number of Premier League rivals interested in the West Ham target perhaps too high for David Moyes’ liking ahead of the summer.

Indeed, Newcastle are set for a massive summer of spending, and with Eddie Howe impressing so far with his signings in January, Sarr could be the latest addition to win over the St. James Park faithful next season should the Magpies splash the cash for the 24-year-old attacker.

West Ham’s interest was the basis for this feature, so it only seems right to end on the Irons, who are reportedly open to signing Sarr as a replacement for Said Benrahma, who could be ready to depart the London Stadium in the coming weeks.

At £25m, West Ham have the finances to sign Sarr ahead of their rivals whilst also having the capacity to offer the attacker European football for the first time since his Ligue 1 days with Stade Rennais, something the Senegal star thrived in during his time in France.
