Liverpool have concerns about Ismaila Sarr as they consider potential new signings to replace wantaway forward Sadio Mane this summer.
The Reds lost the Champions League at the hands of Real Madrid on Saturday evening, falling to a 2-1 defeat.
Jurgen Klopp’s disappointing will have been compounded by attacker Sadio Mane seemingly chasing a move away this summer.
The Senegal ace is understood to have communicated his desire to leave this summer.
Mane is out of contract in 2023 and it makes sense for Liverpool to sell now rather than see him leave for nothing in 2023.
Mane is a key part of the Liverpool side though and the Reds will need to spend to replace him this summer.
Liverpool have concerns about Ismaila Sarr
The Daily Mail have suggested that Liverpool are looking at a number of possible options to replace Mane should he leave.
One name mentioned is Watford winger Ismaila Sarr alongside teammate Joao Pedro.
Yet the report adds that Liverpool do have some concerns about Sarr’s ‘in-game intelligence’.
Liverpool seemingly aren’t convinced that Sarr has the tactical side of his game that Jurgen Klopp would require at Anfield.
Liverpool have been linked with Sarr for some time now but it sounds like a deal this summer is unlikely as things stand.

Sarr himself even admitted that he knew Liverpool wanted him back in 2020.
Ironically, Sarr is close with Mane from international duty with Senegal and Mane even asked Troy Deeney to take care of Sarr at Watford.
It has long been rumoured that Sarr could end up being Mane’s heir for both club and country but that is now in doubt.
If we had to guess, Liverpool will likely prefer somebody like Arnaut Danjuma or even Darwin Nunez to replace Mane’s impact up top.
Sarr has potential but it seems that Liverpool will look elsewhere this summer.
