Manchester United are continuing to be busy in the summer transfer market ahead of next Friday’s deadline.
Erik ten Hag signed a new Manchester United contract in the summer and he is now set to make further changes to his squad.
Manchester United sources have confirmed to HITC that they have agreed terms with Napoli for Scott McTominay.
The Scotland international has been attracting a lot of interest this summer, with Fulham ending their interest in McTominay and signing Sander Berge as Joao Palhinha’s replacement instead.
But former Chelsea and Tottenham manager Antonio Conte – who took charge of Napoli this summer – is close to bringing in McTominay.

It is understood a deal worth around €30million (£25.4 million) is now done in principle, with further add-ons also included.
Napoli have been in talks for a deal for weeks and now they are working on agreeing personal terms for McTominay – who this summer has already rejected offers from Fulham and Turkey.
Napoli want to sign McTominay and his Scottish international team-mate Billy Gilmour – but it remains to be seen if Brighton will sanction that move after he started in their win over Man United.

Manchester United and Manuel Ugarte
Manchester United themselves are also progressing with their own deal for PSG’s Manuel Ugarte and they believe a deal for the Uruguayan is very close to completion.
PSG left Ugarte out of their squad amid the interest from Old Trafford and he is yet to feature this season, with the Uruguay international playing in 37 games in all competitions since joining in 2023.
Ugarte has been dubbed ‘outstanding’ and his possible arrival is very much needed after Manchester United were beaten at Brighton on Saturday.
