- EXCLUSIVE from Graeme Bailey
HITC can reveal that Manchester City have rebuffed recent enquiries about Julian Alvarez.
It is understood that the reigning Premier League champions have received enquiries from Chelsea, Atletico Madrid and the Saudi Pro League.
HITC revealed earlier this month that Alvarez had already held talks with City’s hierarchy and Pep Guardiola to voice his frustrations about a lack of game time in the Champions League.
Manchester City reacted by informing interested parties that he was not for sale, but Alvarez’s representatives have held talks with Atletico Madrid over a potential summer move.
His team told the La Liga giants that they are confident that City will be open to letting Julian Alvarez leave despite their firm stance he is not for sale.
Premier League rivals Chelsea have been monitoring Alvarez’s situation as they remain on the lookout for a new forward.

Julian Alvarez and Pep Guardiola discuss his future
Alvarez is currently on international duty representing Argentina at the 2024 Olympic Games having already competed in the Copa America this summer.
The 24-year-old opened up on his Manchester City future on Tuesday morning, stating that he will decide his next move after the Olympics.
As quoted by BBC Sport, Alvarez said “There is a lot of talk. I am focused here because it is a short tournament.
“At Manchester City I feel very good, I played a lot of minutes. But we will see after the Games. First, if I can, I will take a few days off. Then we will decide.”

Guardiola has also responded to the transfer rumours, saying “He said he’d think about it. When he finished thinking about it, his agent is going to call Txiki and we see what happens”.
HITC can confirm that Alvarez’s representatives have been speaking to other clubs about possible deals as he considers his options this summer.
